Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
